I write there when I need to finish a whole weblog post or essay in one sitting. Isn’t that what that mode is for anyway? I don’t see the utility of using that mode just to jot down stray thoughts or flit from one idea to another.

If you need to write incomplete things (or texts you know will be incomplete), but also keep them in one convenient app, perhaps another app would be better suited for that. Say, Yojimbo’s notes function.
