Come to think of it… I’ve always considered daily weblogging—now truly a habit—as an unalloyed good. But can it actually be in some way a bad habit? For instance, can the time I’ve allotted to weblogging (writing AND reading weblogs) be devoted to some other worthier pursuit? Have I at times ignored the kids (or friends) in favor of weblogging? I guess nothing is a purely good habit.

Regarding continued bad habits, I’ve noticed that the older I get and the longer I watch myself continuing my bad habits, the stronger my resolve becomes to overcome those habits. Then one day, I’ll wake up and the itch to continue riding the Bad Habit train will be gone.

Very interesting post… and welcome back! ::chuckle:: But I fail to see what perfectionism has to do with keeping a weblog… are you suggesting that each post has to be a gem of the medium? ;p
