And thus begins a month of lounging about as almost everyone I know leaves for school. Things to occupy me in the coming weeks:
- Buy stuff for college. I need a new bike.
- Start organizing/packing the stuff I already have that I want to bring.
- Finish reading Snow Crash, damnit.
- Finish rereading The Elements of Typographic Style. This book almost makes me want to redesign my weblog. Almost. Lethargy prevails, though, as always. Many thanks to Lloyd for bestowing upon me his pristine copy of this classic.
- Atone for my embarrassing lack of cultural awareness by reading those books and watching those films I should’ve read and watched years ago… or at least before I enter college.
- Transfer the half-dozen album backlog of MP3s from my PC to my iPod. And listen to them. (The new Ratatat album is excellent; Pitchfork is retarded.)
- Get MacBook repaired (again) or replaced.
- Be productive. Do something—anything—other than sit in front of the computer all day.
Also, Nate wrote a piece on the passage of time that I’m sure many of us can relate to: the ride.
